A two hour beading workshop with renowned Indigenous artist Savannah LeCornu. Participants will learn a two needle flat-stitch beading technique and will be provided all the supplies to complete a small Alaskan themed beaded patch. Step by step instruction will be provided along with a kit to take all supplies home with you. Maximum class size of ten, no experience necessary, $125 per person.

A two hour quilting workshop with fabric and fishing guru Mary Maley. Participants will learn the foundation paper piecing technique, stitch in the ditch echo machine quilting method, and be provided with all the supplies and sewing machine time needed to complete a small Alaska themed quilt square. Maximum class size of six, no experience necessary, $125 per person.

Try something new
Flat stitch beading is a traditional technique where seed beads are strung on one thread and then sewed down onto a flat foundation with another. In this workshop you will learn how to flat stitch using a two needle technique which Savannah has found is easier for beginners to learn.
You'll start an Alaskan inspired patch designed by Savannah and will leave with all the materials to continue the project on the boat or back home. The designs often feature salmon, berries, and other wildlife native to Alaska.

Foundation paper piecing (FPP) is a quilting technique in which fabric pieces are sewn directly onto a paper pattern, the seam is opened and pressed as the design grows. This technique results in crisp lines and produces detailed fabric drawings. The workshop design options include fish, birds and flowers native to Alaska’s Inside Passage.
Quilt the project using the stitch-in-the-ditch echo sandwich quilting method. Echo quilting is a great technique for making the central design element pop. Bind on site or take your project home to finish.
